Module 4.3 DRRM BLOG(FINALS)

I learned many things in my NSTP, especially in the DRRM seminar, workshops, training and practicals. It is important for us to know and learn these things because this will help not only us but also the people around us when there is an emergency or someone needs a first aid or life support. Disaster situation here in our country is very poor because not all people are capable of doing those things that can save other people's lives. It is also important to address the issue of disaster here in our country because this will help the citizens to know what they will do in case of emergency. Many communities here in the Philippines suffer from poverty, from our interview in Baclaran, many families suffer from poverty and hunger because of unemployment. It's important for the parents to have a work because this will allow them to earn money to sustain their daily needs. We also interviewed some fishermen about their problems. They said that major problems that had been causing them in fishing is the crisis and not enough support of their government for them. These fishermen earn money from what they get or caught. If these men do not have enough fish to sell they couldn't earn enough money for their family. The environment there is also unexplainable because all of the people there are busy but not working, they're busy doing other things that do not help their families, an example is playing majong on the streets. Instead of playing why do they not work or find work so they can earn and sustain their needs? But as a student, I cannot force them to do so because I don't have the right to talk to them like that. As a member of of this community and nation, and as a student, I will help them by giving them sufficient food and clothing especially to the kids and teach them some lessons that we learned from school. Knowledge is very important in our society because this will enable us to live simply and so that we will know the different ways on how to live in our country by not doing bad things or risking our lives just to earn money.
